About Rev. Penny Dean
Rev. Penny Dean
Hello, and Welcome to my site. I am happy to meet you and welcome you with warm regards. Many people seem to be asking about me and want to know more about who I am and what I am trying to do. So this page is dedicated to just that. My name is Reverend Penelope M. Dean but you can call me Penny. The following is a brief description of what type of person I am, a little about my past, and what I am doing now.
What I am up to:
I am a licensed ordained minister and owner of Love the Lord First Ministries: I create free online Christian bible studies weekly available to anyone who is interested. I am the owner and manager of Chicken Heaven On Earth: Rescue/Sanctuary for unwanted, abused or abandoned Easter pets. I have created 11 and own 8 websites. (See My Websites)
Presently, trying to generate income to support myself and to help worthy causes at the same time.
About Me Personally:
I love the Lord, my Children and Grand kids, family, friends my dog, cat, chickens and other animals. I see myself (and others have told me) as hardworking, dependable, detail oriented, highly motivated with excellent problem solving capabilities, in spite of a cognitive disorder from a severe head injury. I am always eager to learn new techniques, applications, ideas, and new ways of doing things more efficiently. It seems I am constantly seeking and searching despite physical disabilities that threaten me constantly. As a young woman I was a single mother to three very wonderful kids. I started college late and got my Associates degree in Business Management/Marketing in 1991. Soon after, I left the small town I live in now thinking I would become a big business owner in the city one day. I met the wrong people, went the wrong places, and did the wrong things. I truly believe nothing in God's world happens by mistake and I see now that the things I went through have given me the ability to help other's.I tried my hand at opening up a cleaning service and was just starting out, already signed on several big contracts when fate struck me a brutal blow. I had just cashed a big check and went to a nearby park to relax but as fate would have it I was at the wrong end of a crowbar wrapped in a towel. I was robbed, lost my memory, had an extreme cognitive disorder, and other mental issues. Time passed wounds heal, tho sad to say not completely. I had not worked in several years due to my injuries which happened during the car wreck and robbery as I had all I could do to figure out who I was. Slowly, my memory came back but it seemed that everything else except reading had to be re-learned. A few months after the robbery while I was in total distress just trying to figure out things, another blow came and my husband died.
My Spiritual Journey
I have regained many of my memories and learned so much I can barely contain it. I went to church with my friend, Barbie one day and the Lord came to me like He never had before and opened my eyes to a whole new way of life.
Presently, I feel I am prepared and ready for what ever comes my way. I don't worry about the past-I can't remember much of it, I don't worry about today because I can deal with each thing one at a time, and I don't worry about tomorrow because I know God has that covered. My physical and mental limitations can only hold me back if I let them and I refuse to let them.
My Mission:
Love the Lord First, do His will. Cherish my family and friends, live life to the fullest, and overcome adversity of any kind. Last but not least, leave my mark on the world with the hopes that others will see that if I can do it-anybody can.
What I am doing now:
I became a licensed, ordained minister in July of 2010 and started an online and street ministry. I am an active member of the Humane Society of the United States, and work with several environmental organizations. I also own and operate a rescue facility for abused, abandoned, Easter pets.I am in the process of publishing several books I have written. I am easy going, friendly and customer oriented with a great sense of humor. As a goal-oriented person and a goal achiever I am always looking for new things to accomplish. I seek to provide the best service possible to my business associates and customers. I am an avid supporter against child abuse, family violence, animal abuse and a greener environment, specializing in rural sustainability, solar power, organic gardening-just to name a few. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle have become a part of my daily routine at home and work.
I spend much of my time learning new things. The information got to be too much for me and I started building websites.
My Websites: I had to find a way to generate money to support my ministry, rescue facility, as well as myself so I opened a few stores.
My Stores: Dear to my Heart:
I believe that everyone has the opportunity to put the Lord first in their lives and then reap the joy of happiness, good health, and prosperity that comes with being his loyal servant. I believe after God my family is a top priority that occupies my mind and heart at all times. I have 3 beautiful, successful, intelligent, (and sometimes wild) children of my own, 4 beautiful, unique step children and numerous wonderful adopted children who grew up spending most their time with my children and still call me "Mom". I have 6 adorable Grandchildren, whom have stolen my heart and which I feel I could never spend enough time with even if I seen them every day. I believe friends are an integral part of human development and that we should all love each other as Christ first loved us.
My favorite hobbies
My hobbies take up most of my time because many of my hobbies are my daily work and routine, which include but not limited to Bible study, higher learning, writing books, web master skills, rescuing, raising abused, abandoned, and unwanted chickens, rabbits, dogs, ducks, cats, and other small animals. I also enjoy cooking, canning, sewing, embroidery, and organic gardening. Anyone who knows me or has ever met me even briefly knows that I love my chickens.
Welcome to my world. :)
Sincerely,
Rev. Penny Dean

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? James 1:14
